Description

A phenylalanine-free drink containing a balanced mix of the other essential and non-essential amino acids, carbohydrates, fat (including docosahexanoic acid (DHA)), vitamins, minerals and trace elements. Available as unflavoured, orange or berry flavoured.

Indications and Prescribability

For the dietary management of children with phenylketonuria aged 1-10years (3-10years in some countries).

Suggested Intake

The recommended intake of PKU Anamix Junior LQ should be determined by a clinician or dietitian only, and is dependent on age, bodyweight, and medical condition of the patient.

Preparation & Administration

The daily intake of PKU Anamix Junior LQ should be distributed throughout the day.

Precautions

- Use under medical supervision - Not for parenteral use - Suitable for children over one year of age - Not suitable for use as a sole source of nutrition - Any other: Diet must be supplemented with natural protein and other nutrients in medically prescribed quantities to supply the phenylalanine and general nutrition requirements of the patient.

Precautions

Unopened: Store unopened bottles in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight. Opened: Product is best served chilled and consumed immediately. Unused product should be stored in a refrigerator and consumed within 6 hours
