Description
PHLEXY-10 Tablets are free from phenylalanine but containing a balanced mixture of essential and non-essential amino acids. A food for special medical purposes.
Indications and Prescribability
The Phlexy-10 Tablets are for use in the dietary management of children and adults with proven phenylketonuria.
Suggested Intake
The quantity of Phlexy-10 Tablets should be determined by a clinician or a dietitian only and is dependent on the age, body weight and medical condition of the patient.
The diet must be supplemented with natural protein and other nutrients in medically prescribed quantities to meet the phenylalanine and general nutrient requirements of the patient. A vitamin, mineral and trace element supplement will be required (eg. Phlexy-Vits).
Preparation & Administration
The Phlexy-10 Tablets must be consumed with water or diluted drinks.
Precautions
Use under medical supervision.
Not suitable for use as a sole source of nutrition.
Not suitable for infants.
Requires an additional source of vitamins, minerals and trace elements
such as Phlexy-Vits.
Not for parenteral use.
