Description
Phlexy-10 Drink Mix is a flavoured powder, free from phenylalanine but containing a balanced mixture of essential and non-essential amino acids, carbohydrate, colouring, sweetener and flavouring. Available in Citrus Burst, Apple and Blackcurrant and Tropical Surprise Flavours. A food for special medical purposes.
Indications and Prescribability
The Phlexy-10 Drink Mix is for use in the dietary management of children and adults with proven phenylketonuria.
Suggested Intake
The quantity of Phlexy-10 Drink Mix should be determined by a clinician or a dietitian only and is dependent on the age, body weight and medical condition of the patient.
The diet must be supplemented with natural protein and other nutrients in medically prescribed quantities to meet the phenylalanine and general nutrient requirements of the patient. A vitamin, mineral and trace element supplement will be required (eg. Phlexy-Vits).
Preparation & Administration
The recommended dilution is 1 in 5 (eg. 20g of Phlexy-10 Drink Mix made
up to 100ml with water).
1. Paste the contents of one sachet (20g) with a small amount of water.
2. Continue stirring whilst adding the remaining volume of water.

Not suitable for use as a sole source of nutrition.
Not suitable for infants.
Requires an additional source of vitamins, minerals and trace elements
such as Phlexy-Vits.
Not for parenteral use.
