Indications and Prescribability
For use in the dietary management of proven Phenylketonuria (PKU) in children aged 4+ years and adults including pregnant women with proven Phenylketonuria.
Suggested Intake
The recommended dosage of Lophlex LQ 10 is dependent on the age, bodyweight and medical condition of the patient and should be determined by a clinician or dietitian only
Preparation & Administration
The daily intake of Lophlex LQ 10 should be distributed throughout the day. Water or diluted drinks should be offered / taken at the same time as Lophlex LQ.
Lophlex LQ 10 is best served chilled. Shake vigorously before use.
Part consumed pouches can be stored in a fridge for up to 24 hours. Shake vigorously before use.
Precautions
Must only be used under strict medical supervision. Not intended for use as the sole source of nutrition. Not for parenteral use. Not suitable for metabolic disorders other than PKU or as a supplement for individuals who do not have PKU.
This product must be supplemented with natural protein, fluid and other nutrients in medically prescribed quantities to supply the phenylalanine and general nutritional requirements of the patient. Lophlex LQ contains only trace amounts of sodium, potassium and chloride.
